Why is buyer information displayed as Not Available in Amazon FBA orders?

Modified on Wed, 06 Mar 2024 at 01:04 PM

Starting February 19, 2024, Amazon sellers can no longer access buyer information in FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) orders. Due to Amazon's recent policy update, the platform now assumes responsibility for calculating and remitting sales tax on behalf of sellers. In North American marketplaces, Amazon has deprecated access to Restricted Data, which includes crucial buyer information previously used for tax remittance purposes.

To accommodate these changes, we have updated the extension to maintain uninterrupted order processing for M2E Pro users. Currently, buyer information for Amazon FBA orders imported to M2E Pro and Magento is marked as “N/A.” This modification guarantees that M2E Pro can continue creating corresponding Magento orders in your system even when the buyer information isn’t available.

Amazon's decision to handle sales tax calculation and payment is a significant support for sellers, especially with the constant changes in tax regulations. By handling tax-related tasks, Amazon seeks to streamline the selling process and help sellers stay compliant.

We actively monitor updates or changes on marketplaces that may affect M2E Pro functionality. In case of any future adjustments by Amazon or other Channels, rest assured that we will adapt the extension accordingly to provide maximum efficiency and uninterrupted sales for our users.
