New eBay billing cycle for fixed-price GTC listings

Modified on Wed, 7 Sep, 2022 at 4:16 PM

When eBay moved to Good til’ canceled format only, many sellers faced a problem of double billing per month. To fix the problem, eBay is changing to a monthly billing cycle for fixed-price listings.

All existing eBay GTC listings will migrate to the new schedule so that sellers wouldn't be double-billed in a single month again. The migration's started on the 1st of July, 2019.

This change means that your fixed-price listings will renew automatically once per calendar month until the quantities sell out or until you cancel the listing.

The renewal will take place depending on the initial listing start date:

  • - If the start date was on the 1st to 28th, it will now always renew on the same day.
  • - If the start date was 29th, 30th or 31st, the exact duration will be adjusted in shorter months, but move back to the original day in all longer months.
