How to ensure M2E Pro gets the right product data with external tools on Magento 2

M2E Pro communicates with the Magento Storefront to get all product updates, which are then sent to the Channels. However, when external plugins are installed on the Magento Storefront, they can sometimes interfere with the accuracy of product data, affecting aspects such as Product Quantity, Price, Status, Tax, and other settings. This interference may lead to issues like Magento order creation failures, incorrect linking of product variations, and additional tax applications.


To address this issues and enable M2E Pro to retrieve accurate product information, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Ensure your M2E Pro is updated to the latest version.
  • Step 2: Download and unpack an archive.
  • Step 3: Copy m2epro_cron.php file from the archive.
  • Step 4: Paste m2epro_cron.php file to %magento_root_folder%/pub/ directory.
  • Step 5: Verify that the Cron Job Type is set to Service Pub by accessing your Magento settings: Channel Integration > Help Center > Health Status > Dashboard > Cron Info > Type.

 Note

It may take up to 1 hour for the Cron Job Type to update in your Magento, depending on the time required to complete the running Cron tasks.
