The most common Amazon errors related to Product Type configuration

This article provides examples of the most common errors Amazon returned in case some Product Type attributes aren`t filled, but they are required by Amazon

Please note that the attributes mentioned in the errors may vary.

'color' is required but not supplied.
The required attributes \'manufacturer\' are missing. Please set the values for the mentioned attributes and try again.

Note

It is important to emphasize that some attributes may be interdependent.

This means a specific attribute can be required since you have filled in another attribute.

For example, the following error is returned in case the unit of measurement isn`t filled.

The field 'unit' for the attribute 'item_package_weight' does not have enough values. The required minimum is '1' value(s).

Please consider if you provide any measurements (weight, height, width, etc.), Amazon also requires units of measurement (kilograms, meters, etc.).

Another example is the following errors:

The field 'type' for the attribute 'stones' does not have enough values. The required minimum is '1' value(s).

Attribute 'hazmat' does not have the expected value(s).

If you fill in Hazmat Aspect, then you need to fill in Hazmat Information as well.

If you face one of the mentioned errors, please open Product Type assigned to the product, find the mentioned attribute, and fill it in.

How to check what values Amazon expects?

You can easily check the value format Amazon expects to receive for a specific attribute by choosing the Custom Value.

If you use the Magento attribute as a source of attribute value, you are welcome to fill it in with one of the values Amazon expects.
