How to List Products under Pants and Shorts Product Types

In this article, you can learn how to correctly fill out the Bottoms Size block for the Pants and Shorts Product Types. This guide is provided for listing products of the most common size classes: Numeric and Waist & Inseam.

We recommend using Magento attributes to fill out the specific values as they allow greater flexibility and enable you to assign different values to various products.

How to fill in the Bottoms Size block in case of listing only Numeric products

• The values for the Bottoms Size Value Magento attribute should be provided in the following format: 38, 40, 42, etc.
• You can check the values Amazon recommends for Bottoms Body Type and Bottoms Height Type by choosing Custom Value.               Typically, Regular is the most commonly used value for both.

How to fill in the Bottoms Size block in case of listing only Waist & Inseam products

• The values for the Waist Size Value and Inseam Size Value Magento attributes should be provided in the following format: 32, 34, 36, etc.
• When listing Waist & Inseam products, the Bottoms Size Value shouldn`t be provided. According to Amazon workflow, it will combine Waist Size Value and Inseam Size Value and display size value on the product page in the following format: 33W / 32L.

             How to fill in the Bottoms Size block to list products of

               Numeric and Waist & Inseam sizes simultaneously

When listing products of Numeric and Waist & Inseam sizes simultaneously under the same Product Type, some Magento attributes should be filled for Numeric products but be empty for Waist & Inseam and vise versa.

• Bottoms Size Class: the Magento attribute should be filled in for products of both size classes
  (the correct values: numeric and waist_inseam).
• Bottoms Size Value: the Magento attribute should be filled for products with numeric sizes but not for waist_inseam (they should be empty).
• Waist Size Value and Inseam Size Value: the Magento attribute should be filled only for products with waist_inseam sizes.
• Bottoms Body Type and Bottoms Height Type: the Magento attribute should be filled only for products with numeric sizes.
