Primary Category is missing

According to eBay requirements, you must provide a valid Category ID to list or update an Item. The reason why you are getting the error could be that you either specified the wrong number for the categoryb ID or it’s been updated by eBay.

Before checking  eBay category settings in your M2E Pro, please make sure the marketplace data updated in your M2E Pro. For this, go to eBay > Configuration > Marketplaces and click Update Now for the marketplaces that you list products on.

Next, view the affected product in M2E Pro listing under the Settings View Mode. Here, in eBay categories column, you can confirm if the correct category is assigned to the products. In case you need to change the set category, you can:

  • Select the products in the Listing and apply use Edit Category Settings action to assign another eBay category.

  • Alternatively, go to eBay > Categories, click on the category you need to change and under Primary Category tab, you can replace it with a new one for all products that use it across all M2E Pro Listings. 

If eBay category is set to be synchronized from a Magento Attribute, please make sure the selected attribute contains a valid eBay category ID.
