In 2020 Amazon announced the launch of Selling Partner API (SP-API). This is a modern REST API suite with enhanced data protection and security. SP-API covers all aspects of the MWS API, such as orders, inventory, reports, etc. It also provides more control over the e-commerce data, automated operations, analytics, and seller insights.
Amazon expected all third-party applications that use MWS API, such as M2E Pro, to migrate to SP-API by December 31, 2022. From this date, MWS API sections are no longer supported.
As per the deadline, M2E Pro has moved to SP-API and is fully integrated with the latest Amazon development technology so you can continue to manage your Amazon business.
Along with the migration, we introduced new functionality for listing new ASINs and updating Product Specifics. To continue using these features in Magento, you must keep your M2E Pro version compatible with SP-API.
