You are using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs, or JAN codes that do not match the products you are trying to list

This error comes up whenever the Amazon system is unable to link the Product ID (UPC, EAN, ISBN, JAN) to the brand being used for the SKU.

Amazon policy states that Product IDs (UPCs/EANs) must be purchased directly from GS1 to ensure their validity, and their system performs validation against GS1's database to confirm the ID as valid. The error shows there is a data discrepancy, or the system is unable to link brand and Product ID (meaning the correct owner company for the UPCs). This is to avoid UPC/EAN re-purchase and re-use outside official GS1 channels. Find out more here.

Even for cases when the Product IDs are indeed related to the brand (a company buying a new brand for instance), a solution would be to contact Selling Partner Support and mention error code 5461.

Here is the information which can be requested from you. They should be able to assist you and allow you to create ASINs.

From our side, we can provide you with the API communication Request-Response data, which contains most of the details above.
