How to Update SKUs and Product IDs for Walmart Listings with M2E Pro

Modified on Thu, 7 Nov at 1:38 PM

Managing your product listings on Walmart requires keeping your SKUs and Product IDs up-to-date for accurate product tracking and catalog association. M2E Pro provides an efficient way to edit SKUs and Product IDs, helping you maintain correct product data on Walmart without having to recreate listings from scratch. Below is a guide on how to change these identifiers seamlessly.

Hovering over the SKU and selecting "Edit" lets you enter a new SKU in the pop-up that appears. Once you save, M2E Pro automatically updates the SKU on Walmart’s platform. This feature is particularly helpful if you’ve changed your SKU conventions or need to correct a previous entry, ensuring that your inventory stays aligned with Walmart's records.

When adding a new listing, Walmart requires at least one valid Product ID—such as a GTIN, UPC, or EAN—to link your product to Walmart’s catalog. In M2E Pro, GTIN serves as the default Product ID. Other types of Product IDs can be viewed under the “Info” icon, allowing you to ensure that the correct identifier is submitted, which improves product discoverability and catalog accuracy on Walmart.

For listings that already exist but need to be linked to a different product in the Walmart catalog, M2E Pro also makes updating the Product ID easy. Selecting "Edit" next to the Product ID lets you enter a new identifier, which M2E Pro then submits to Walmart on your behalf. This adjustment is useful if Walmart’s catalog requirements change or if you need to associate the listing with a more accurate product entry.

 Note

You can edit a product identifier of an Active item only.
With these capabilities, M2E Pro makes it easy to maintain consistency across your Walmart listings, offering direct editing tools for SKUs and Product IDs. This ensures that all product information remains accurate and accessible for customers, enhancing catalog management without the need to manually re-create listings.
